Soft Circle is the project of New York City based musician Hisham Bharoocha. A former member of Black Dice, his debut album, Full Bloom, was released January 23, 2007 on the Eastern Developments Music record label. His sound is characterized by looped guitar riffs, drums, and repeated vocals.

Kranky recording artist Lichens is Robert A.A. Lowe. Commonly featuring looping wordless vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, Lichens toured extensively opening for instrumental post-rock band Explosions in the Sky, playing at their curated All Tomorrow’s Parties music festival. Lowe waspreviously a member of 90 Day Men.
